INITIATIVE 1: THE WBA ANTI-TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE

Human trafficking is a severe violation of human rights, characterized by the coercive exploitation of a person to provide sex or labor. The effects of trafficking on victims are devastating.  Victims face insurmountable challenges, including limitations on access to justice against traffickers.  

 

The WBA is committed to empowering victims of trafficking and disempowering traffickers by facilitating access to legal counsel and recourse for victims and survivors.   As such, the WBA Anti-Trafficking Initiative (Anti-Trafficking Initiative) is being launched as a crucial, collaborative multidisciplinary effort . The WBA seeks to establish a compensation fund for a dedicated attorney group, to be affiliated with relevant business and healthcare professionals.
