Micah Longo graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in May 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in History. In college, Micah was a dean’s list scholar and member of the NCAA Division II Football Team. He received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in May 2006. While at NSU Law, Micah was a member of the Celtic American Law Society and received outstanding grades in Civil Trial Procedure, Evidence, and Professional Responsibility.
Micah Longo is a well rounded and experienced lawyer who began his law career as a law clerk with the firm Reifkind & Thompson in Davie, Florida. Once admitted to the Florida Bar, Micah held the position of Associate Attorney with the civil litigation firm Cornell & Associates, in Weston, Florida. In 2012, Micah formed The Longo Firm, in which he is the managing attorney.
Micah Longo has been involved in numerous personal injury and employment law cases. He has also handled appeals before the Florida District Courts of Appeal and has assisted with cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Most recently, Micah won an appeal before the 5th District Court of Appeal of Florida for a client who was severely injured when she fell through an attic floor. (Case No. 5D12-4219).
In addition to practicing law, Micah is an adjunct law professor at Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since 2014, Micah has taught Contracts, Evidence and Procedure, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Real Property, and Wills, Trusts, and Estates. Micah is also active in the community. He is a director of the Miami Gold Coast Railroad Museum and sits on the Pembroke Falls Violation Appeal Board. Micah is also the head football coach of the Cooper City Cowboys Optimist team (115 lbs).
