The Weston Bar Association (WBA) was founded in 2012 by Evan H. Baron. It was premised on the idea of a bar association to serve the community and enrich the professional and personal lives of its members. Under the leadership of its founder and visionary board of directors, the WBA has quickly grown and is currently home to over 100 dedicated members. The WBA hosts luncheons and happy hours each month, as well as an annual holiday party and installation dinner.
The mission of the Weston Bar Association is to provide a local legal organization that promotes the common business interests, public perception, and reputation of attorneys practicing or residing in Weston. The Weston Bar Association seeks to achieve its mission by: advocating the highest standards of professional ethical conduct; promoting the improvement of the administration of justice in Broward County; providing a forum for members to discuss and analyze legal trends and other issues that affect the practice of law; providing a highly reliable and reputable legal referral source to members and the public; providing activities and programming designed to be of interest and assistance to members; and supporting and promoting charitable causes and activities as shall tend to further the best interests of the legal profession and the greater Weston community.
